1.      [posted February 22, 2010]  REVISION of syllabus for MGF1211 Sections C and O  (Wednesdays only):

 

GEOMETRY V:TILINGS of the PLANE

 

and

GEOMETRY VI: IRREGULAR TILINGS of the PLANE

 

will constitute the subject matter for the remainder of the course.

 

NEW COURSE NOTES  and  PROBLEM SETS

 

will be distributed to classes on Week 7.  Project #4 will be held Week 8 as scheduled; however,

 

Project #5 moved to Week 9

and

         Quiz #4 moved to Week 10.

    

These new materials are available on-line to view/print/download in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.

 

 

 

Calculators:

 

Solar-powered Casio scientific calculators are provided for all in-class activities.  Students are encouraged to get their own scientific calculator for out-of-class studies.

 

 

Mathematics Help/Tutoring Schedule:  

 

The General Education Department has arranged with some of the mathematics faculty to offer help sessions (also known as tutoring) in mathematics for students who desire such assistance. The schedule for these help/tutoring sessions will be posted around the campus as soon after the first day of classes as it is available.
